  • Pomegranate juice - 120 ml
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon, juiced - 1
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the pomegranate juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Marinate the fish fillets in this mixture for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the fish from the marinade and add it to the skillet. Cook the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it is golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the remaining marinade along with the water, and let it simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the fresh pomegranate seeds and lemon juice into the sauce, mixing well to combine.
  6. Serve the fish fillets drizzled with the pomegranate sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
