  • Bulgur wheat (fine) - 50 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
  • Parsley (fresh, chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Mint (fresh, chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Allspice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Water - 200 ml

Steps

  1. Rinse the bulgur wheat under cold water and soak it in 200 ml of water for about 30 minutes until it softens.
  2. Meanwhile, steam or poach the fish fillet until fully cooked, about 10-15 minutes, then flake it into small pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked bulgur wheat, flaked fish, chopped onion, parsley, mint, garlic, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Form the mixture into small oval or round patties, about 5 cm in diameter.
