Ingredients

  • Romaine lettuce - 100 grams, chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Radish - 4, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
  • Pita bread - 1 small, cut into triangles
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sumac - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Place the pita bread triangles on a baking sheet and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  3. While the pita bread is baking, prepare the vegetables: chop the romaine lettuce, dice the cucumber and tomato, thinly slice the radishes, and dice the green bell pepper.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radishes, green bell pepper, parsley, and mint.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
  6. Once the pita bread is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad.
  7. Pour the dressing over the salad, toss gently to combine, and serve immediately.
