- Romaine lettuce - 100 grams, chopped
- Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Radish - 4, thinly sliced
- Green bell pepper - 1, diced
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
- Pita bread - 1 small, cut into triangles
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Sumac - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the pita bread triangles on a baking sheet and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Bake for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- While the pita bread is baking, prepare the vegetables: chop the romaine lettuce, dice the cucumber and tomato, thinly slice the radishes, and dice the green bell pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radishes, green bell pepper, parsley, and mint.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
- Once the pita bread is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad.
- Pour the dressing over the salad, toss gently to combine, and serve immediately.
