- Romaine lettuce - 100g
- Cucumber - 50g
- Tomato - 100g
- Radishes - 50g
- Green onion - 30g
- Fresh parsley - 20g
- Fresh mint - 10g
- Pita bread - 1 large (60g)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Sumac - 1 teaspoon (5g)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cut the pita bread into bite-sized pieces and place them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle the pita pieces with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and toss to coat.
- Bake the pita pieces for about 8-10 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
- While the pita is baking, wash and chop the romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radishes, green onion, parsley, and mint into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped vegetables and herbs.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
- Once the pita is ready, add it to the bowl of vegetables and pour the dressing over the salad.
- Toss everything gently to combine and serve immediately.
