Ingredients
- Romaine lettuce - 100 grams, chopped
- Cucumber - 50 grams, diced
- Tomato - 100 grams, diced
- Radishes - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Green bell pepper - 50 grams, diced
- Pomegranate seeds - 30 grams
- Fresh parsley - 20 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 10 grams, chopped
- Lemon juice - 30 ml
- Extra virgin olive oil - 30 ml
- Sumac - 1 teaspoon
- Pita bread - 1 large piece
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cut the pita bread into triangles and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Brush the pita triangles with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- Bake the pita in the oven for about 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- While the pita is baking, prepare the salad by combining the chopped lettuce, diced cucumber, diced tomato, sliced radishes, diced bell pepper, pomegranate seeds, parsley, and mint in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix together the lemon juice, olive oil, sumac, and salt to create the dressing.
- Once the pita is finished baking, allow it to cool slightly, then add it to the salad bowl.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
- Serve immediately for a fresh breakfast experience.
