Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Tahini - 4 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Pine nuts - 1 tablespoon, toasted
Steps
- Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, combine cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
- While the tofu is frying, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together tahini, lemon juice, and water in a bowl until smooth. Adjust the water for desired consistency.
- Once the tofu is crispy, remove it from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the crispy tofu drizzled with tahini sauce, garnished with chopped parsley and toasted pine nuts.
