- All-purpose flour - 50 grams
- Cornstarch - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 100 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 200 ml
- Tahini - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season them with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until smooth.
- In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs mixed with chopped parsley.
- Dip each fish fillet first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully add the coated fish fillets to the hot oil, frying them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the fish fillets to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix tahini, lemon juice, and water until smooth to create the sauce.
- Serve the crispy fish fillets hot with the tahini sauce drizzled over or on the side.
