- Shredded coconut - 100 grams
- Sweetened condensed milk - 50 grams
- All-purpose flour - 15 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Dark chocolate (optional, for dipping) - 50 grams
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Mix until the ingredients are well combined and form a sticky dough.
- Using your hands, shape the dough into small mounds or balls, approximately 2.5 cm in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the macaroons are golden brown on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler and dip the cooled macaroons halfway into the chocolate, then place them back on the parchment paper to set.
