Ingredients

  • Shredded coconut - 100 grams
  • Sweetened condensed milk - 50 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 15 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Dark chocolate (optional, for dipping) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and form a sticky dough.
  4. Using your hands, shape the dough into small mounds or balls, approximately 2.5 cm in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the macaroons are golden brown on the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. If desired, melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler and dip the cooled macaroons halfway into the chocolate, then place them back on the parchment paper to set.
