Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 400 grams
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red onion, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined, then form the mixture into 2 burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the serving plates with romaine lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
- Once cooked, remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before placing them on the lettuce leaves.
- Top the burgers with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve immediately with the fresh vegetables.
