Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red onion, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined, then form the mixture into 2 burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the serving plates with romaine lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
  5. Once cooked, remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before placing them on the lettuce leaves.
  6. Top the burgers with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve immediately with the fresh vegetables.
