Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 400 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Lebanese seven spice mix - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, Lebanese seven spice mix, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix until well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  7. Serve hot with garlic sauce and a side of fresh vegetables or pita bread.
