Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Fresh mint - 15 grams, finely chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread or burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Tahini sauce - 4 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and have a nice golden brown crust.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare your pita bread or burger buns by toasting them lightly on a separate pan if desired.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked kafta patty on the bread, adding sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and drizzling with tahini sauce.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Chicken Kafta Burgers!
