- Ground chicken - 400 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, finely chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, finely chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Pita bread or burger buns - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Tahini sauce - 4 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and have a nice golden brown crust.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare your pita bread or burger buns by toasting them lightly on a separate pan if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked kafta patty on the bread, adding sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and drizzling with tahini sauce.
