Ingredients
- Almond flour - 150 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add the egg and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together the feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, and black pepper until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal securely.
- Place the filled fatayers on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with a little olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
