Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add the egg and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  7. Place a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  8. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal securely.
  9. Place the filled fatayers on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with a little olive oil.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
