Ingredients
- Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
- Labneh - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, combine the crumbled feta, shredded mozzarella, labneh, and chopped parsley. Mix well and season with salt and black pepper.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again with olive oil.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into 3 equal strips lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg and set it aside.
- Take one strip of the phyllo dough and place 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly to form a triangle. Brush the top with beaten egg to seal.
- Repeat the process with the remaining strips and filling.
- Place the boureks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
