Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Labneh - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the crumbled feta, shredded mozzarella, labneh, and chopped parsley. Mix well and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again with olive oil.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo dough into 3 equal strips lengthwise.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg and set it aside.
  6. Take one strip of the phyllo dough and place 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly to form a triangle. Brush the top with beaten egg to seal.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining strips and filling.
  8. Place the boureks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
