Ingredients

  • Bulgur wheat - 100 grams
  • Water - 300 ml
  • Plain yogurt - 200 grams
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Fresh mint leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Rinse the bulgur wheat under cold water and drain well.
  2. In a saucepan, bring 300 ml of water to a boil, add a pinch of salt, and stir in the bulgur wheat.
  3. Cover the saucepan, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the bulgur is tender and has absorbed the water.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt and honey, and whisk until smooth.
  6. Once the bulgur has cooled, fold it into the yogurt mixture until well combined.
  7. Spoon the mixture into serving bowls and sprinkle with ground cinnamon and chopped walnuts.
