Ingredients
- Filo pastry - 6 sheets
- Feta cheese - 150 grams, crumbled
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta, ricotta, chopped parsley, chopped mint, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until combined.
- Lay one sheet of filo pastry on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Layer another sheet on top and brush it again with olive oil.
- Place a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of the layered filo pastry. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly into a log shape.
- Repeat the process with the remaining filo sheets and cheese filling, placing the rolled boregs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the boregs with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
