Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
  • Tahini sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - a handful, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the pita bread by warming it in a separate pan or microwave for a few seconds until soft.
  5. Assemble the burgers: place each patty in a pita, and top with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately.
