Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped

  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Tahini - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Cook the kofta patties for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the kofta is cooking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add water as needed to reach a drizzleable consistency.
  6. Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  7. Assemble the wraps by placing 2 kofta patties in each pita, and topping with sliced tomato, cucumber, and a drizzle of tahini sauce.
