Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Onion - 1 small, finely grated
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)
- Lemon - 1, for serving
- Fresh cucumber - 100 grams, sliced (for side)
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, grated onion, chopped parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated kofta (sausage shape) on skewers or directly on a grill pan.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the kofta for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned, reaching an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve the kofta with fresh cucumber slices and a wedge of lemon for squeezing over the top.
