Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Skewers - 4 (if wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onion, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with pita bread or a side salad.
