Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced
  • Yogurt - 100 grams, for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Shape the beef mixture into long kebab shapes around skewers or simply form them into patties if not using skewers.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Cook the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the kebabs are cooking, warm the pita bread in a separate pan or grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side until soft and pliable.
  5. Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Then place the kebabs inside the warmed pita bread.
  6. Top the kebabs with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and a dollop of yogurt. Roll the pita around the fillings and serve immediately.
