Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Onion (finely grated) - 1 small
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Pita bread - 2 pieces
- Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
- Cucumber (sliced) - ½ medium
- Tahini sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the beef mixture into 2 patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the pita bread by warming them on the grill for 1-2 minutes, flipping once.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a beef patty inside each pita, then top with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and drizzle with tahini sauce and lemon juice.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
