Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely grated
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Wooden skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, chopped parsley, chopped mint, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, allspice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients well using your hands until fully combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into an elongated patty or cylinder around a soaked wooden skewer.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush with olive oil.
  5. Place the kafta skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
