Ingredients

  • Semolina - 100 grams
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Water - 300 ml
  • Rose water - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 30 grams
  • Pistachios (chopped) - 20 grams
  • Almonds (sliced) - 20 grams
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  3. In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil and then add the sugar, stirring until it dissolves completely.
  4. Add the rose water to the sugar syrup and mix well.
  5. Gradually pour the sugar syrup into the semolina mixture while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  6. Cook the mixture on low heat for an additional 10 minutes, stirring until it thickens.
  7. Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  8. Pour the mixture into a greased dish and spread it evenly.
  9. Allow it to cool completely, then cut into squares or diamonds.
  10. Garnish each piece with chopped pistachios, sliced almonds, and a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
