- Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the semolina to the melted butter and stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown.
- In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil and then add the sugar, stirring until it dissolves completely.
- Add the rose water to the sugar syrup and mix well.
- Gradually pour the sugar syrup into the semolina mixture while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
- Cook the mixture on low heat for an additional 10 minutes, stirring until it thickens.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased dish and spread it evenly.
- Allow it to cool completely, then cut into squares or diamonds.
- Garnish each piece with chopped pistachios, sliced almonds, and a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
