Ingredients

  • Feta cheese - 200 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes - 250 grams
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful, for garnish
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pita bread - for serving

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. In a baking dish, combine the cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, dried oregano, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toss to coat.
  3. Place the feta cheese in the center of the tomatoes, and drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the feta.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tomatoes are blistered and the feta is golden and soft.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  6. Serve warm with pita bread for dipping.
