Ingredients
- Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Mozzarella cheese - 50 grams, shredded
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, feta, mozzarella, parsley, mint, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush with more olive oil.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into strips about 10 cm wide.
- Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end of each strip. Fold the sides over to encase the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a closed pastry.
- Repeat this process with the remaining phyllo dough and filling.
- Place the boureks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down. Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
