Ingredients
- Short-grain rice - 50g
- Whole milk - 400ml
- Sugar - 50g
- Rose water - 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Ground cinnamon - for garnish
- Chopped pistachios - 20g
Steps
- Rinse the short-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, whole milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and the mixture is thickened.
- Add the rose water and cardamom powder, stirring well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
