Ingredients

  • Beef tenderloin - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Asian pear - 1/2, julienned
  • Spring onion - 1, finely sliced
  • Egg yolk - 1 (optional for serving)

Steps

  1. Start by freezing the beef tenderloin for about 30 minutes to make slicing easier.
  2. Once firm, remove the beef from the freezer and slice it thinly against the grain.
  3. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, sugar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  4. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and mix well, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  5. While the beef is marinating, prepare the toppings by julienning the Asian pear and finely slicing the spring onion.
  6. After marinating, plate the beef in a shallow dish, arranging it neatly.
  7. Top the beef with the julienned Asian pear and sliced spring onion.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top for added flavor and garnish.
  9. If desired, place an egg yolk in the center for added richness before serving.
