Ingredients
- Cooked sushi rice - 150 grams
- Nori sheets - 2 sheets
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
- Spinach - 50 grams, blanched
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Sriracha - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the cooked sushi rice with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat or clean surface, shiny side down. Spread half of the rice mixture evenly over the nori, leaving a 2 cm border at the top.
- Arrange half of the julienned carrot, cucumber, blanched spinach, and avocado slices over the rice.
- Sprinkle black sesame seeds over the vegetables.
- Using the bamboo mat, roll the nori tightly away from you, pressing gently to secure the filling. Seal the edge with a bit of water.
- Repeat the process with the second nori sheet and the remaining ingredients.
- Once both rolls are made, slice each roll into 6 pieces.
- Toast the burger buns lightly on a pan until golden.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun and add 3 kimbap pieces on top.
- Drizzle sriracha on top if desired, then place the top half of the bun on.
- Serve immediately with additional vegetables or pickles on the side.
