Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 150 grams
  • Warm water - 80 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cabbage - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 30 grams, grated
  • Spinach - 30 grams, chopped
  • Mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon (ensure halal)
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, warm water, and salt. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the cabbage, carrot, spinach, mushrooms, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Set the filling aside.
  3. After resting, divide the dough into 10 small pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle, about 8-10 cm in diameter.
  4. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal them tightly.
  5. Prepare a steamer over boiling water and place the dumplings in the steamer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other. Steam for 15-20 minutes until the dough is translucent and cooked through.
  6. Serve the dumplings hot with additional soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
