Ingredients

  • King oyster mushrooms - 200 grams

  • Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onion (chopped) - 1 stalk
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooked rice - 1 cup

Steps

  1. Clean the king oyster mushrooms and slice them into thick strips.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, gochugaru, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Add the mushroom strips to the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the marinated mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and caramelized.
  6. Remove the mushrooms from the pan and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
