Ingredients
- Cooked sushi rice - 200 grams
- Nori sheets - 4 sheets
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
- Spinach - 100 grams, blanched
- Tofu - 100 grams, pan-fried and sliced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions, then let it cool slightly.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and sauté the julienned carrots and cucumbers until just tender, about 3-4 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt.
- In a separate pan, lightly fry the tofu slices until golden brown on both sides.
- Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess water. Season with a little soy sauce and salt.
- Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat or a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about 2 cm at the top edge.
- Arrange a line of sautéed carrots, cucumbers, spinach, and tofu along the center of the rice-covered nori.
- Roll the nori away from you, using the mat to help keep it tight. Seal the edge with a little water.
- Repeat the process with the remaining nori sheets and fillings.
- Slice each roll into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
