Ingredients

  • Cauliflower florets - 300 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sweetener (erythritol or similar) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Green onion (sliced) - 2 stalks
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish cake (optional, sliced) - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil and add the cauliflower florets. Cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly tender, then drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the gochujang, soy sauce, sweetener, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Mix well over low heat until the sauce is combined.
  3. Add the drained cauliflower florets back to the pot, stirring to coat them thoroughly in the sauce. If using, add the sliced fish cake at this stage.
  4. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is fully tender and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
