Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 30 grams
- Green onion - 1 stalk, finely chopped
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Mozzarella cheese - 50 grams, shredded
- Sliced tteokbokki (keto-friendly or cauliflower rice formed into patties) - 2 pieces
- Gochujang - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves - 2 for wrapping
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, chopped green onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties and place them on a plate.
- In a non-stick skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tteokbokki patties. In the same skillet, lightly grill the tteokbokki patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly crispy.
- Once the burgers are cooked, place shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet for a minute to melt the cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix the gochujang and mayonnaise to create a spicy sauce.
- Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf on a plate, followed by the tteokbokki patty, the beef patty with melted cheese, and a drizzle of the gochujang sauce. Top with sesame seeds.
- Serve with another lettuce leaf on top and enjoy your Tteokbokki Burger!
