Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese - 50 grams, shredded
  • Sliced tteokbokki (keto-friendly or cauliflower rice formed into patties) - 2 pieces
  • Gochujang - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 for wrapping
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, chopped green onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties and place them on a plate.
  3. In a non-stick skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the tteokbokki patties. In the same skillet, lightly grill the tteokbokki patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly crispy.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, place shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet for a minute to melt the cheese.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the gochujang and mayonnaise to create a spicy sauce.
  7. Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf on a plate, followed by the tteokbokki patty, the beef patty with melted cheese, and a drizzle of the gochujang sauce. Top with sesame seeds.
  8. Serve with another lettuce leaf on top and enjoy your Tteokbokki Burger!
