- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Rice flour - 3 tablespoons
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Carrot (grated) - 1 small
- Bun (whole grain) - 2 pieces
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1 small
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
- Cut the pressed tofu into thick slices and marinate them in the sauce for at least 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine rice flour, chopped green onions, and grated carrot to create a binding mix.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Take the marinated tofu slices and coat them with the rice flour mixture on both sides.
- Cook the tofu in the skillet for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Assemble the burger by placing a piece of lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by a tofu patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and cover with the top bun, then serve immediately.
