Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Pizza dough - 1 pre-made base (approx. 30 cm diameter)
  • Vegan mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, sliced
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Carrot - 1/2, julienned
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thin strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  4. Add the tofu strips to the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the pizza dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  6. Spread the vegan mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza base.
  7. After marinating, pan-fry the tofu strips in a non-stick skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Distribute the cooked tofu evenly over the pizza, followed by the sliced bell pepper, mushrooms, and julienned carrot.
  9. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese has melted.
  10. Remove from the oven, drizzle with Sriracha sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before slicing and serving.
