Ingredients

  • Sweet Potatoes - 400 grams
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped Green Onions - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin fries, about 1 cm thick.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with cornstarch to coat evenly.
  4. Add olive oil, gochugaru, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the bowl and mix until the fries are well coated.
  5. Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
