Ingredients

  • Soft tofu - 300 grams
  • Cooked white rice - 1 cup (240 grams)
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable broth - 250 ml
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Eggs - 2
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a medium pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add gochugaru and stir for about 30 seconds to release its flavor.
  3. Pour in vegetable broth and soy sauce, then bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Carefully add the soft tofu, breaking it into large pieces, and allow it to simmer for 5-7 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. While the tofu simmers, in a separate pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  6. Once the tofu is heated through, remove the pot from heat and stir in chopped green onions.
  7. To serve, place cooked rice in bowls, top with the tofu broth mixture, and finish with a fried egg on top.
