Ingredients
- Soft tofu - 200 grams
- Ground beef or turkey - 100 grams
- Korean chili paste (gochujang) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Onion, finely chopped - 1/2 medium
- Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soft tofu, ground beef or turkey, gochujang, minced garlic, chopped onion, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about 3-4 cm in diameter.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add enough cooking oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tofu bites in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the bites from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional chopped green onions and a side of dipping sauce, if desired.
