Ingredients
- Sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour) - 100 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Red bean paste - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Chopped green onion - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour, water, salt, and sugar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish and steam for about 15 minutes until it becomes firm and translucent.
- Let the steamed mixture cool slightly, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the cut pieces until they are golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll them in sesame seeds.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.
