Ingredients

  • Sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour) - 100 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Red bean paste - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Chopped green onion - 1 tablespoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour, water, salt, and sugar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into a heatproof dish and steam for about 15 minutes until it becomes firm and translucent.
  3. Let the steamed mixture cool slightly, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the cut pieces until they are golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from oil and let them drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll them in sesame seeds.
  6. Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped green onions.
