Ingredients
- Mung beans - 100 grams
- Water - 800 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped scallions - 2 tablespoons
- Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Rinse the mung beans under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak them in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain the soaked mung beans and place them in a pot with 800 ml of fresh water.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the beans are soft and start to break apart.
- Once the beans are cooked, use a wooden spoon to mash them slightly to create a creamy texture.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sea salt, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sesame oil.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped scallions and black sesame seeds.
