- Firm tofu - 100 grams, cubed
- Shiitake mushrooms - 50 grams, sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Napa cabbage - 100 grams, chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sesame oil, and water to create the sauce. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the shiitake mushrooms and carrots to the pan, sautéing for another 2 minutes until they start to soften.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cubed tofu and napa cabbage to the skillet, gently folding them into the mixture. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is wilted.
- Stir in the chopped green onions and season with black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
