  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1 tablespoon, finely diced
  • Mushrooms - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped

Steps

  2. Add water, soy sauce, sesame oil, and salt to the eggs, and mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
  3. Strain the egg mixture through a fine sieve into another bowl to ensure smoothness.
  4. Prepare a steaming pot or a deep pan with water, and bring it to a gentle boil.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into a heatproof dish that fits into your steaming setup.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped green onions, diced carrots, and mushrooms on top of the egg mixture.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil or a lid to prevent water from dripping into the custard.
  8. Place the dish in the steamer, cover it, and steam for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat, or until the custard is set and firm.
  9. Once cooked, remove the dish from the steamer and let it cool slightly before serving.
