Ingredients

  • Shirataki noodles - 200 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten (optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the shirataki noodles under cold water and drain well.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to high and add the shirataki noodles, stirring for 2-3 minutes to heat them through.
  5. Add the spinach and cook for another 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  6. Stir in the soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. If using, push the noodles to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten egg into the empty space, scrambling until cooked through.
  8. Mix everything together, add the chopped green onions, and cook for another minute.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds.
