Steps
- Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add the spinach and blanch for about 1-2 minutes until wilted.
- Drain the spinach and immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let it sit for a minute.
