- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- All-purpose flour - 100 grams
- Cornstarch - 20 grams
- Water - 150 milliliters
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for greasing
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly and remove any tough stems. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for about 1 minute, then drain and cool under cold water. Squeeze out excess water and chop coarsely.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, egg, minced garlic, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water and whisk until you achieve a smooth batter.
- Fold the chopped spinach into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Pour the spinach batter into the dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm.
