Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Green onions - 2, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Rinse the spinach thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt and sand, then drain well.
  3. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the spinach for about 1-2 minutes until wilted. Drain and cool in cold water, then squeeze out excess moisture.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the blanched spinach, sesame oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, gochugaru, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Beat the egg in a separate bowl and add it to the spinach mixture, stirring until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the spinach mixture to a lightly greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
