- Warm water - 120 ml
- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 5 grams
- Salt - 4 grams
- Olive oil - 15 ml
- Canned tuna (in water, drained) - 150 grams
- Mayonnaise - 30 grams
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 15 grams
- Sesame oil - 5 ml
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) - 50 grams
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Meanwhile, prepare the spicy tuna filling by mixing the drained tuna, mayonnaise, gochujang, sesame oil, and chopped green onions in a bowl. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 1 cm thick).
- Spread the spicy tuna mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the rolled dough and garnish with black sesame seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
