Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 120 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - 4 grams
  • Olive oil - 15 ml
  • Canned tuna (in water, drained) - 150 grams
  • Mayonnaise - 30 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 15 grams
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) - 50 grams
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the spicy tuna filling by mixing the drained tuna, mayonnaise, gochujang, sesame oil, and chopped green onions in a bowl. Set aside.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle (about 1 cm thick).
  7. Spread the spicy tuna mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the rolled dough and garnish with black sesame seeds.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
