Steps
- Soak the rice cakes in warm water for 10 minutes to soften them, then drain.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the softened rice cakes to the saucepan and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the rice cakes evenly.
- In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped green onions and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Once the rice cakes are done, add them to the pan with the sautéed green onions and toss together.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture, stir well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
