Ingredients

  • Beef short ribs - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Brown sugar - 30 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and water to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the short ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
  5. Grill the short ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked through.
  6. During the last minute of grilling, sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the ribs.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite Korean side dishes.
