Ingredients

  • Mackerel fillets - 200 grams
  • Sea salt - 10 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Radish - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mackerel fillets with sea salt, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. After marinating, place the mackerel fillets in a steaming basket and steam for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Once cooked, let the mackerel cool slightly before flaking it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In another bowl, mix the cucumber, radish, green onions, and lemon juice. Add the flaked mackerel and toss gently.
  5. Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning with additional salt if necessary.
